StephenI think that Enron's short term fainncial goals caused some of California's problems. Those goals are well documented in their own total and utter collapse. However, there are deeper problems as well. The cost of energy was paid not only by the government of the state, but by the citizens as well. Thus, the government's fainncial hole couldn't have been merely solved by stopping that $30 B in capital flight. Steve Poizner 2010!
