My plans to get married fell through. However, at the time we had agreed to go to RedWing, Minnesota. My ex-fiance liked the bluffs there. We always argued probably because we were both stressed out about money. But that was one of our plans if we were to have had the money. Incidentally, I wish that we wouldn't have let money get us down. Still, it is way too late to repair the situation. I'm over him and moved on.

Anyway, I think the trip to RedWing would've been fairly inexpensive though.

I"m so sorry your wedding plans fell through. I must admit, I do get the jitters every once in a while and wonder if that may not happen to me.  Any advice to help me get through the jitters?

Hmmm...I would say perhaps try to prioritize what you should most spend your money on, and try as much as possible to reach a compromise. I think if I could have been able to communicate better with my ex fiance we may not have broke up.

However, we both learned from our mistakes I think even though we both moved on to new relationships. We were just so immature. And, I mentioned compromise because we were at times too unwilling to compromise although I think I was willing to compromise more than he was.

We realized years later (even though we are only friends and both have moved on) that what used to be an occasion an argue were things that really didn't matter as much as we thought. It was too late for us to repair the past but we both at least made amends and stayed friends, knowing hopefully in the future when we both end up with the one we won't repeat the same mistakes of dwelling on the unimportant things.

Jabsfreelanceworld brought up so good points. I think both maturity and age could be a factor. Someone who has been married before and older may not be effected in the same way as a young groom or bride who are marrying for the first time.

Eileen, how old are you and is this your fist marriage?

London is one of those places on my "Bucket List." I've never even been to Europe at all yet. I wish I could go. It wouldn't be for a honeymoon, but it sounds like a nice idea for you if you do decide on that for a honeymoon spot.

We spent our honeymoon on St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. I always wanted to go somewhere tropical and completely different from the norm, and that's where we chose. It was a GREAT experience, and I hope to go back again some day.

We wanted to go somewhere tropical. We chose Jamaica, like many other honeymooners do. It was a GREAT choice. I would love to go back at some point and time in the future.

I wouldn't want to go anywhere tropical. Or spend my honeymoon on the beach. I would like to see the world and get to know different cultures.
