Marriage Proposal Ideas
« on: November 26, 2011, 08:51:07 PM »
How does your spouse proposed to you? How do you wish of your own proposal to be like? I remember watching a marriage proposal on Youtube, that a guy pretended to fell off from the rooftop and when his girlfriend run to the corridor, she saw her boyfriend lying on the road with the word, ‘Will You Marry Me?’ written on the road. Very creative but a little bit dangerous. How do you wish yours would be?

Wow, that’s a daring marriage proposal. I bet the guy must have been practicing for days to make sure that he don’t make any mistake or that will cause his life. However, I can’t deny that it is very creative and maybe worth a try.

I don't know I like the roof idea -- sorry a bit corny for me. I like the old traditional romantic way. The guy down on one knee, looking up at you, hold your hand and asking your to marry him. I know, I'm old fashion.

I think nowadays jumping off somewhere is the most used proposal idea. My cousin did his proposal during a couple bungee jumping recently. His girlfriend was crying when she got down from the jump. Everyone was thinking that she was terrified by the jump.

I wonder if there are girls who initiate their own marriage proposal. It would be interesting to listen to those stories and the reason why they did it first.

Do you mean the girl does the actually asking  or she just drops hints to get him to propose?  I think I was a hint dropper :) After about a year of dating I started to leave wedding magazines lie around, rent movies about love and marriage, etc. I'm sure Eric wold of asked without all the hints, but it doesn't hurt to let the guy know she is ready for that big question "will you marry me". Of course, I said yes.

As long as he just pretended to have fallen from the the rooftop it sounds like a good idea. :) I would say the girlfriend wouldn't have expected the proposal at all. I would have been pleasantly surprised.

Did anyone ever see on the news how a guy got everyone in an apartment complex to strategically spell "Will You Marry Me?" with lights on in certain room facings the windows to the street and when you stand facing the building that is what it spells. That took some time and effort I thought. It was amazing.

Btw, I was proposed to the traditional way. But it all is special no matter how it's done.

I wish I couldn've seen that. He really spelled out "will you marry me" with people's living room lights in apartments? That sounds like a lot of work, but very original and romantic.

I like creativity, but I'm not sure if I like the rooftop idea.

I wouldn't want to be proposed to anywhere public. Or in a cliché way, like hiding the ring inside a piece of food.

My friend proposed to her boyfriend. She didn't get down on her knee or have a ring or anything. She just asked.

These are all sweet, original, or romantic ideas. My bf and I are nothing but traditional-usually. However, he did go down on one knee right in our building in front of all our friends.

My fiance proposed to me by giving me a teddy bear with the ring in the teddy bear's hood. At first I wasn't sure what I was feeling but than I pulled the ring box out and he asked me if I'd marry him.

These are so nice to read :) My husband proposed to me at a chocolate shop called Orgasmic! It was so awesome and too bad that place no longer exists :(
