Just Curious: What time of the year would be best?
« on: November 24, 2011, 11:06:08 AM »
I was just curious. What time of the year do you think planning a wedding would be best? I know some people who would prefer a fall wedding versus a spring wedding. I don't think there is as many of them is there? However, I know at one time that is when I thought I was going to be married-in the fall. As far as flower arrangements, I should dig up some old photos in case I still have some of my brother and sister-in-law's wedding. They had beautiful fall flower arrangements. I think that's what inspired me to start writing about the arrangements people could have this time of the year. (There wedding was a little over three years ago.)

For me, Fall or Spring would be ok. I guess Winter (too cold) and Summer (too hot) would be my least favorite.

Yeah for outdoor wedding winter and summer would be out during the coldest or hottest times of this season. On the other hand, I went to a wedding in December once. It was a long time ago, but I do remember the reception tables were beautifully decorated with evergreens and candles.

Isn't June the most popular month to marry? I wouldn't want to be married in the heat, but as long as it is indoors (church) I wouldn't mine a summer wedding.

I think it would depend on your location, culture, financial budget and the type of wedding that you wish to have. For outdoor, early summer when it is still nice and not too hot would be the best time. As for me, I would choose autumn because I love autumn. If you want it to be cheaper, consider winter. So it’s all depend on your need and preference.

I'm not exactly sure. I thought it was actually April or May if it doesn't rain. LOL I know there is a lot of May outdoor weddings. I remember that my parent's wedding was actually in August when they got married.

If you are a family person and you would love all of your family member to attend, it’s better to choose your wedding date on holiday season. If you can’t, then you can still choose your favorite season and do it on Friday or Saturday so that your family members can attend.

I would go for late spring because it would be beautiful to have all the blooming trees and flowers in the background of my outdoor wedding. Don’t forget to take your wedding pictures into account. For great pictures, you need to have lights and not too many shadows.

I don’t enjoy hot days so summer is already out of my choices. I love it when it is a little cold but still in the comfortably bearable level. Autumn would be best. It’s beautiful and the weather is not too extreme.

Maybe early summer would be fine. However, late summer would be too hot. I'm not sure why my parents got married in August. However, I think there wedding was indoors.

I would say late spring after the excessive rainfall stops. I myself want and am planning for an outdoor wedding.

I think fall is the most beautiful time of the year. I like the rich tones of red, orange, and brown. I can just picture it in my mind. Oh, I guess then maybe I wouldn't have a beach wedding after all but perhaps on a wooden fall tree trail. Why not? (Now, if I could get my fiance and our families to agree to this...)

Anytime except winter! Autumn has to be the best with all the beautiful colours of leaves and how it's not too hot and not too cool.
